Looking Back – Jessica Chalmers

When I think back on my first year with the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. I am amazed at how much I was able to accomplish. Although I have a handful of favorite memories, the best one has to be when my small group threw a Christmas cookie party. Two wonderful women hosted the event at their apartment. Everyone was responsible for bringing a dozen cookies of their choice, then each attendee made a variety pack of cookies to take home with them while sampling them at the party. The hostesses even had a contest to see who had the “best” cookie. My contribution was a bacon and chocolate chip cookie, which was (thankfully) a huge hit. It was a great Sunday afternoon of hanging out with the ladies of my small group. It made my first year as a JLC member truly memorable. Ladies, what was your favorite memory from last year being in the League?
