The Ultimate Guide

The Ultimate Guide: General Membership Meetings

Welcome to the first Ultimate Guide to being a Junior League Member blog. This series is meant to provide a resource for everyone, but may be especially helpful for Provisionals, new Active members,  and potential new members in the Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC).

For the first blog President-Elect, Charlitta Hatch, provides a brief explanation of what to expect with General Membership Meetings (GMMs) and how to get the most out of them. These meetings are open to all JLC members; Provisional, Active, and Transfer members are expected to attend a certain number of GMMs per year to meet membership credit requirements, but are always welcome to join in the fun. GMMs are informative and provide a discussion of the operations of the League, such as the budget or voting to approve new community partners or slated leaders. We also have speakers in order to bring awareness on current issues or to provide specific leadership training. This is a time to get to know your fellow JLC members and further connect in order to build strong relationships. So tune in below to hear more on what to expect!
