Special Treat for Reid Park

Jenni Borden, Kids in the Kitchen Chair, shares how members attending one  parlor meeting did something really special for the Reid Park Academy staff.

Parlor Meeting

“On Monday, January 6, about 10 to 12 JLC members got together for a parlor meeting hosted by Malone Lockaby and Gabe Workman. The girls learned more about the Cornerstone Campaign and made “healthy snack bags” for the teachers and support staff at Reid Park. Malone and Gabe stated that, “We had great fun decorating the bags and writing notes of appreciation to the Reid Park staff.  The purpose was to make the staff at Reid Park feel renewed and refreshed heading into the New Year, and to know that the whole JLC Group is behind them and supporting them!  As a small group, they were able to have some really interesting dialogue about the Reid Park community and the plan that the JLC has for the next few years at Reid Park.  We all left the parlor meeting with a revitalized sense of commitment to the promise that the JLC has made to the Reid Park community, and an even greater understanding of why this commitment is so important.”
What parlor meetings have you attended and what cool things did the group do?
