The Perfect Football Cocktail

With football season in full swing, it’s safe to say that I’ve had my share of Bloody Mary’s while watching a game or two.

Although I usually order these drinks while I’m out, I’m tempted to make my own batch after stumbling upon this bloody mary recipe in the Junior League of Charleston’s cookbook, “Party Receipts – Hors D’Oeuvres, Savories, Sweets.”

Mrs. Foxworth’s Bloody Marys

Ingredients

            ∙           1 can (46 ounces) V-8 vegetable juice
            ∙           1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
            ∙           1 teaspoon celery salt
            ∙           1 teaspoon celery seed
∙           1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (or to taste)
∙           1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or to taste … I like mine extra spicy)
            ∙           2 cups vodka

**yield – 1 gallon**

Instructions

∙           Combine all of the ingredients in a one gallon jug and refrigerate until ready to serve.
