JLC News, Member Spotlights

October Rockstars

The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) could not accomplish all that we do without the dedication and hard work of our members. We would like to recognize the following members who have gone above and beyond and are truly living the JLC mission every day.

Keely Allison, Megan McConville and Meredith Croy (Family Healthlink) were incredibly helpful throughout the Family Healthlink event on September 19. They helped prepare before the event, brought computers and scanners to the event, worked throughout the event and also helped with break down. Meredith was not only a part of the committee, but also gave physicals to the children attending the event. The event would not have been as much of a success had it not been for these ladies.

Jennifer Campbell (JLC Family Support) continues to go above and beyond to ensure that she attends all JLC Family Support events!

Courtney Zuniga (Circle de Luz) just delivered a baby girl! Because she knew her time would be short once the baby arrived, she committed to spending a lot of extra hours this summer with her mentee and has stayed extremely involved and committed despite all she has on her plate with a newborn. It is a testament to her commitment to the JLC and to her relationship with her mentee.

Lisa Johnson (JLC President) visited the KIPP Charlotte workshop on Saturday, September 26 and made a lasting impression. The committee was very excited to have her support.

Ginger McAdams, Adelaide Spizer and Nicole Sunday (Second Harvest Food Bank) all took the lead in volunteering the most hours in September. Way to go!!

Allison Tack (Kids in the Kitchen) is doing a great job getting everything and everyone organized before leaving for maternity leave!

Dana Christian (Vice Chair – Alexander Youth Network) is recognized by her committee for being very active and supportive in her role. We are lucky to have such a strong leader in this role.

Hannah Travis (Fall Fundraiser) has been an amazing asset to the committee and has shown that she is willing to put her all into the JLC. From working on the silent auction until after midnight, to volunteering her expertise and resources to the betterment of our event, she has really gone above and beyond!

Angela Lindsay (Social) has been on the ball getting everything tee’d up for the October Third Thursday Social at J. Sams!

Debbie Hull (Nominating) balances a demanding job and her incredible dedication to the League with grace and poise. She always takes extra time to identify the leadership needs of her Councils. She willingly offers assistance to other members within the Nominating committee – even volunteering for a speaking event in which she shared her journey from transfer to leader within the JLC.

Holland Ferguson (Vice Chair – Arrangements and Appreciation) took the lead during service and clean up for the CAB Luncheon. Her leadership and effort were much appreciated!

Charlitta Hatch (Human Resource Council Manager) is recognized as a phenomenal manager, supporting all components of HRC while balancing a herculean schedule! Charlitta is noted for offering the best advice and keeping to the JLC mission of training and empowering women so that we can make a powerful impact.

Caitlin Hewitt (Secretary – Human Resource and Communication Councils) does an absolutely phenomenal job keeping up with all the many happenings and changes going on in both of her councils. While busy with her work life and planning a wedding, she continues to give both councils her all and with the upmost professionalism. Caitlin is helping all stay on topic, organized and informed so that we can all strive to make a difference.

Janelle Davis and Mary Kate Kearney (Membership Advisors) graciously assisted with taking attendance at the first GMM of the year. They are both working hard to make sure that they are the best possible resources for their advisees!
