1) Thanks for taking time to share some personal insights with us today. Can you give us some background information about you?

I am relatively new to Charlotte. I just moved here in February and am still learning about the city.  I’ve spent the last 10 years in Tallahassee, Fla. I went to Florida State and stayed because I loved the southern feel of the city.

2) What is the best and worst decision you’ve ever made?

Best: Studying abroad in London when I was a student at FSU. It was the first big decision I truly made on my own. It changed my life trajectory and instilled in me a love of traveling and the arts.

Worst: I wish I would’ve taken some time off to travel and visit friends when I graduated college. I was consumed with trying to find a job and start my career immediately.

3) What woman inspires you and why?

Jackie Kennedy. I’ve always been inspired by her grace and elegance. Because she is usually thought of as a style icon, it’s often overlooked that she was an exceptional writer and poet.

4) From start to finish, what would your ideal day be like?

Watching college basketball, grabbing coffee with my fiancé, walking around an art museum, and attending a musical or a concert.

5) What keeps you up at night?

Usually my cats, Snowball and Tiger, destroying the house.

6) If you could tell your 23-year-old self one thing what would it be?

Travel more!

7) One thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m a fantastic ping pong player. That’s all my brother and I did growing up.

8) What was your experience like as the president of the Junior League of Tallahassee?

Phenomenal and challenging. I learned very quickly what it meant to be a leader and a listener. I would always challenge myself to keep learning.

9) How has the Junior League helped you develop your potential, taught you something unique, and/or given you an opportunity that you never would have had otherwise?

Every great opportunity I have ever had after college has been the result of the Junior League. I got every job I’ve ever had because of a colleague from the League. The skills I learned in the Junior League also helped lead me to my career path of being a fundraiser.
