JLC September Rockstars

The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc. (JLC) would not be what it is without our members. We would like to recognize the following members who made a huge impact throughout the month of September. Thank you for all that you do to make a difference in our community.

Carver Morrow (Member – Finance) has stepped up to fill the Finance Secretary vacancy in addition to her role as a liaison to the ETA Council. She is appreciated for all that she does for her committee and for the League.

Allison Broglie, Mandy Brannon, Rachel Karo, Hannah King and Bonnie Stroup (Members – Give Kids a Smile) have all taken on leadership positions within a subcommittee. Each is eager and ready to put hard work and energy into making all our events great this year!

Keely Allison, Whitney Sturge and Megan McConville (Members – Family Healthlink) made a splash on their committee as the team prepared for their event on September 19th. Their hard work and dedication is not going unnoticed by their team!

Cynthia Alexander (Vice Chair – Advocacy & Public Awareness) is working above and beyond with the Department of Social Services so that APA can meet the requirements for social workers to receive continuing education credits for attending JLC-APA training sessions on food deserts.

Nyema Mathis (Member – JLC SPAC) has been quick to respond to action items and requests from her team. Her sense of urgency and commitment to the team is helping to move the dial forward on the valuable work that this group is doing.

Shika Raynor (Events Chair – WearHouse) has been doing a wonderful job coming up with creative events and following them through to the end. The Fall Open House was hugely successful and a large amount of that success can be attributed to Shika!

Christina Browning (Provisional) was a huge help in the WearHouse during the changeover weekend. She jumped right in and made a big difference.

Keely Allison (Member – Spring Fundraiser) has been working tirelessly on securing marketing materials for the event. Her early start on this will make the event even better!

Beth Bechhold (Member – Nominating) consistently offers support to any area that is needed. When asked to write on her personal leadership experience encouraging members to consider participating in the Straw Ballot, she did so immediately without hesitation.

Rebecca Carter (Vice Chair – HRC Marketing and PR) has been recognized by the Social Committee for her work marketing the JLC social events this year. Rebecca is incredibly detail oriented and has been on top of everything so far. The Social Committee is very happy to have a fantastic partner on their team!

TaLeayah Johnson and Malone Lockaby (Chair and Vice-Chair – Nominating) have worked tirelessly to fill all of our open leadership roles. Their commitment to the League and its members is invaluable and we cannot thank them enough for their dedication.

Charlitta Hatch (Manager – Human Resources Council) always impresses League members with her ability to identify an area of improvement and then work efficiently to make the appropriate change. She is truly a rockstar in our League and the HRC is so happy to have her at the helm.
